Because we choose to focus on smaller to medium sized nursery schools and daycare centres, we spend more time with each child, allowing them to feel comfortable in front of the camera.  There are props and toys the children can play with if they feel uncomfortable.  As a result, each child has a chance to show their true character and their personality shines through in the photos.  

Parents receive a mini-session's equivalent of proofs (10-30) of a variety of different poses to choose from.  Each child can have such a range of expressions and looks - it's amazing to see how many 'faces' a child has!  The larger number of choices has always been a big hit with parents!

Parents with siblings in the school receive an extra series of shots with their children together.  Not only do they receive the same amount of individual photos of each child, but the photographer takes the extra time to do another little photo shoot of the siblings together...at no extra charge!

Each child receives a free 4x6 class photo - no purchase necessary.  As a gift and keepsake to remember photo day, Joy in Motion Photography likes to make sure every child has a souvenir of their experience with us.

We know children love to run around and play - and we are prepared.  All backdrops are fully taped down, seats have no sharp edges or holes for tiny fingers to get stuck.  Our strobe lights have no pesky power cords for children to trip over, and are weighed down securely with sand bags, so there is no chance of your little one getting injured.

Having a hard time narrowing down your choices?  Get them all!!  There are instant digital download options, if you don't want to wait for the print packages, as well as the choice to have the whole collection burned onto a CD or USB.   You will be able to keep the photos forever and print them whenever and wherever you like.

We offer print packages of varying sizes and also "A  la carte" options at competitive pricing that matches the bigger school photography companies.  The minimum order starts at only $15.00.   We also include free retouching on all prints.  Please contact us for a price sheet.

One of the major complaints we hear from schools is the length of time it takes for parents to receive their packages.  We keep within a one-month turnaround time between photo day and the delivery of the packages.  Parents will receive their private online proofing galleries within a week of photo day, and generally have a week to decide on ordering, then the packages are delivered within two weeks of that.

We recognize that we couldn't do this without the valuable assistance of the dedicated teachers and volunteers.  All schools receive a donation of 7% of the proceeds to help with school activities, equipment, and special events.  When possible, each teacher is also offered a mini-profile shot session with free digital downloads as well. 

Joy in Motion Photography is a small local business run by Jasmin Mori, mompreneur and mother of three, who is going on ten years of experience specializing in child and family photography and has photographed children in over 30 schools in the Ottawa Valley region.  She also specializes in family, newborn, maternity and wedding photography and operates out of her home based-studio in Almonte, Ontario.
